Dr. Lauren Scully, PT, DPT, PRPC, PCES
Dr. Lauren Scully is a physical therapist, with nearly 18 years experience in physical therapy. She received her Bachelor’s and Masters of Science degrees from Ithaca College, and continued-on in her education to graduate with a Doctorate in physical therapy in 2007. A Brooklyn, NY native, she returned to her hometown and spent the next 12 years honing her skills at an outpatient affiliate of NYU Langone. It was there she first discovered her passion for Women’s/Men’s health and began additional coursework through Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. In 2014, she became certified in Pelvic Rehabilitation, earning the PRPC (Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification) distinction. Since then, Dr. Lauren has continued to work in the field of pelvic health, focusing on the unique needs of male, female, and gender-diverse clients. She continues to seek out learning opportunities with a focus on Trauma-Informed care, and most recently completed coursework to become a Prenatal/postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist (PCES) through Core Exercise Solutions.
In her free time, Dr. Lauren very much enjoys running (a two-time NYC marathon finisher!), competing in multi-distance triathlons (She “Escaped from Alcatraz” in 2012!), and spinning on her Peloton. She maintains a small backyard flock of hens, and welcomes any conversations about raising chickens. She is a wife to her exceptional husband, and a mother to her hilarious son. Lastly, she is a bona fide snack enthusiast, and enjoyer of Netflix programs. No spoilers, please!
